While going through my pictures to find some to add to the web site, I came across this one of Grandma Warren with Mom, taken on 8 April 1934. That was 20 days before Dad was born.
It’s been 10 months and not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. I’ll remember something she said, something we did together, or maybe a memory of something she did. My life is a lot emptier without her but she lives on in my memories.
I find myself thinking about Grandma Warren fairly often too. She was the fun grandmother who could be serious when she had to be. She was the polar opposite of Grandma Romig who was the serious grandmother who occasionally had fun. I loved them both.
The site makeover is going well. Just when I thought I was almost done, I made a couple of changes that affected everything so I have to go through and apply the changes. Maybe it would be easier if I learned to use Dreamweaver but I don’t have time for that now. But it’s progressing well (as long as I don’t make anymore layout or format changes).
I think it will look more polished than the old layout and it will be easier to get around the site. On several pages, I’m throwing in bits of information about my ancestors and genealogy in general. Once I have the pages done, spell checked, and validated, I’ll update the trees. I’m not rushing it, I want it to get it right.
