The online Brockport Republic death notices 1856-1923, shows Dorcas Allen having died 1909 in "Delmot," SD at the age of 95. This appeared in the 11/6/1924 15 year history edition of the paper. This supports the 9 Oct 1909 SD death index information for Dorcas Allyn.

I left a query with another researcher on Ancestry.com and got a response from a 3rd great-grandchild of Sarah Jessie Center who confirmed that she and George were siblings, the children of Alexander Center and Sarah Brodie.

I'd pretty much forgotten that I had requested obituaries for Myrtle Pettit, Jerusha Center, and George Center back in April. I resent the request today. Hopefully, I'll hear something soon.

I'm planning to attend the graduation party for Katie and Cody later this month and I'd like to work in a little genealogy if I can. Perhaps I can visit Counsin Katie and see what genealogical treasures she has. If we can stay an extra day, maybe I'll stop by the library and look up the obituaries myself.

Thanks for your response and the additonal information. I still haven't learned the identity of the M.A. Webster I wrote about in my post. There are several Webster children who died at a very young age buried in the George Webster plot and I can only guess as to who the parents were although they were probably either Willis and Mabel or Miles and Viola since Willis and Miles were the only offspring of George and Vietta. Willis and Mabel had several children that died in infancy.

George Webster and Vietta (Gaines) Webster are buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson, somewhere in the northeast corner of the main cemetery. There a several Webster and Webster-related families buried in that area of the cemetery. We're related in one fashion or another to a lot of people buried in that cemetery. At one time thw Websters were one of the largest families in Thompson. What is now Clay Street, heading north off of Rt 166 used to be named Webster Road. It seems that most of the Thompson Websters had moved into Lake County by the 1930s.

Again, thanks for the response. It's always good to hear from a cousin. If there's any information, I can offer you just let me know.

This adds another level of blood relationship between me (and my siblings) and Ray and Myrtle's offspring. We are 1st cousins due to common grandparents (Otto Romig & Sophie Putka). We are 2nd cousins due to common great-grandparents (OB Warren & Ethel Benedict). We are also 3rd cousins once removed due to having Jerusha Nichols as a common ancestor (3rd and 2nd great-grandmother, respectively).

I am the son of Adolean A Myers (Webster)
She lived much of her childhood in Painsville, Oh
She had two younger sisters as well as her older sister Alma.
Her younger sisters were Isabelle and Dorthy
Their parents Miles and Violla are buried in Evergreen cemetary I think it is in Painsville.
I don't know if they had a son that died.
Vietta lived in Willoughby, Ohio with my family in the thirties, and died in the thirties. I don't know where she was buried. I wasn't alive then.

I'm got a little behind the last couple of days because I was trying to figure out something new. Adam had suggested I use include files for content (like the banner and the main menu) that's common to every page. That would mean if there was a change to the banner or the menu, I'd only have to update a couple files and the changes would appear on ever page. That's better than cutting and pasting the changes to every single page (and there are a lot of pages). If something going to make my life easier, I'm all for it.

Adam was thinking along the lines of PHP because that's what he's good at. I, on the other hand, haven't ventured into the world of PHP yet. But I did find I could do the same thing with Server Side Includes. It took a couple of all-nighters to figure it out. It actually wasn't that difficult but the way I wanted to do it was proving to be harder than the experts claim it should be.

But anyway, I got the includes working and I'm working on the pages again. Soon, I promise. I think you'll like the new layout.
