Searching for Lillie Folsom

I think I have enough information on the Folsom family now although I don’t know what became of Lillie. Her daughter Mabel appears twice in the 1910 census. She’s listed as a servant in a household in Painesville and a boarder in a home in Perry. But I’ve found no sign of her mother.

Webster infants in Maple Grove Cemetery

I found the two Webster infants (unnamed and Willis) in the Ohio Death Certificate Index, 1913-1937 and they correlate directly with the Maple Grove records and they died in Lake County. They are buried in the same lot as Wilda Webster, which leads me to believe they were the children of Willis and Mabel. All [...]

Webster research to-do

I did a little digging for information on Grandpa Willis’ first wife, Lillie Folsom Loveland but didn’t really come up with any new information. I found a bit of information on David Loveland, her first husband. When I get a chance, I’ll have to see if I can find Lillie in the 1910 census. I [...]

Keeping things updated

At long last the letter to the Geauga County Genealogical Society requesting a copy of the Cooper Blakeslee probate documents is written. I will drop it off at the Post Office tomorrow. I still haven’t received a response to my e-mail with the same request. I entered the information on Anna B. Foote, John E. [...]

The Wives of Willis Webster

I did a bit of online detective work yesterday to try and find more information on my great grandfather Willis Webster’s third and fourth wives, Anna and Hazel. I noticed in his obituary that Paul and Edward Loomis were mentioned as stepsons, leading me to believe that one of the wives had been married to [...]

Mandy’s kinfolk & Ohio history

I haven’t really done anything genealogy related for a few days. (Okay, it’s more like a week.) The other night, Mandy took a look at my Bailey, Mullins, and Estes lead files and made a few corrections although not as many as she probably wanted to. I’ll add this information to the tree this weekend [...]

Bailey and Mullins research

Did a little bit of research on the Bailey/Mullins side of Mandy’s tree. Steve says his grandmother’s maiden name was Bascom, which is the way I’ll leave it until I see convincing evidence that says different. With the exception of the surname, the listing of her and Clayborne’s children appears to be right. I’ve been [...]

Lots of data entry

Sometime since the 25th I got all the Trask information entered. I’d better get working on the Hill information tonight. Yesterday, I borrowed Mandy’s baby books and extracted the family tree and marriage information, entering it into Legacy. I also did some online follow-up to find death dates and other information. I e-mailed my findings [...]
